Goal Summary:

The students will be able to perform simple mathematical conversions moving from the macro to the micro world and vice versa, demonstrate vocabulary acquisition concerning the units that are being measured (i.e. difference between mass and weight, etc. ), the application of such concepts and skills to different fields in science and demonstrate that the concepts are being used to evaluate real life situation and the means used by scientists to evaluate information. Opportunities will be provided for practice of skills in mathematics, science and language arts.
The unit is a stepping stone for later units that will seek for students to solve simple multiple variables, foster graphing skills and promote mastery of other skills in reading and writing.
