Students will respond to reading prompts from the novel Wonder independently as well as in pairs and groups, complete an essay organizer in which they choose a precept from Wonder and provide analysis from their reading and experience, acquire more familiarity with grade level vocabulary from the book. Students will self-assess progress toward reading level goals using Readtheory. Students will self-assess their social/emotional status and needs as well as make personal connections to the week's reading in a community building circle.
