Students have previously read and discussed the book My Rotten Redheaded Older Brother, by Patricia Polacco. They are familiar with the characters and Tricia's perspective.They have also read and discussed the book Mr. Lincoln's Way, by Patricia Polacco.
Prep:
The teacher will memorize the monologue. A costume for the teacher to wear as Richard is a must. Pre-teaching of the stories My RottenRedheaded Brother, and Mr. Lincoln's way.
Materials:
The books, My Rotten Redheaded Older Brother, and Mr. Lincoln's Way, both by Patricia Polacco. Costume for the character of Richard.
