By the end of this unit, students will be able to analyze primary source documents, such as the Declaration of Independence, Articles of Confederation, Bill of Rights and U.S. Constitution as well as identify the three current branches of the U.S. government. Student will be able to describe the way that the three branches work together and evaluate our current system of government under our present Constitution, as opposed to the government under the Articles of Confederation. Students will be able to research important historical figures during the time of the Revolution and present a summary of their lives through PowerPoint presentations, in conjunction with the technology teacher.
