Students will acquire more familiarity with grade level vocabulary. Students will self-assess progress toward reading level goals. Students will identify useful websites for research and select facts, statistics, and visualizations of data to support their positions. Students will respond to reading prompts from the novel Wonder. Students will compare movie and text versions of Wonder. Students will complete an organizer and write about the themes in the novel or an opinion about the article on gun control. Students will self-assess social/ emotional state and make personal connections to the week's reading in community building circle.
