Objective:
Using data collected from class survey on music genre preferences, students will create a bar graph displaying the results and answer questions about the information shown on the graph.

3.4 Identify differences and commonalities in music from various cultures.
4.1 Select and use specific criteria in making judgments about the quality of a musical performance.
Reflection:
Students will be assessed on the accuracy of their self created bar graph and their answers to the addition/subtraction/multiplication questions that relate to the data on the graph. A rubric score will be given for graph (1, 2, 3, 4). A percentage score will be given for word problems.

Buy CDs or download music (see below) or bookmark websites with samples of music.
