Common Core Standards
I teach ELA to 2 classes of 3rd grade students. The classes are homogeneously grouped. Some students receive RTI services and others receive GT services from our GT teacher. Several students are flexed up to 4th grade. Two receiving reading help from our Special Education teacher.

Since receiving our new Chromebooks and doing Google Classroom training, we are utilizing technology on a daily basis. I try to incorporate a new strategy or site each week to enhance the learning of my students. This week I am adding EdPuzzle.

We use Houghton Mifflin Harcourt "Journeys" reading series as a basis for many of my units. However,I also incorporate the Scholastic Storyworks Jr. Series, online reading materials, trade books, and chapter books into my units to supplement and enhance the provided materials.
