Objective:
Students will be able to distinguish fact from opinion and employ this knowledge to improve their own writng. Students will be able to recognize the persuasive techniques of ethos, pathos, and logos so that they may use them to write a convincing persuasive essay.
Other Information:
The students will be given handouts on persuasive techniques and fact v. opinion. ESOL students will be given a definition/example sheet for academic terminology such as fact, opinion, persuasion, etc.
Prep:
Get 130 copies of handouts.
