Reflection:

This lab is designed to introduce students to the microscope and build confidence in focusing and using one to find objects. It also promotes their use of math to determine magnification and helps them understand how the microscope makes images larger.

These skills are important for future life science classes and will help them develop basic laboratory skills for science.
