Objective:
The students will be able to:
- recognize that they are part of the classroom community, a literary learning community. *Students will realize that our community will be a literary community, though we will be doing math/science activities, everything we do will focus on literacy.
- learn/review procedures/routines and expectations for lining up, going to and from various areas, using getting additional supplies, completing/submitting work, sharing with small groups and the entire class, etc. so the students realize they are part of the literary community.
- learn procedures for completing tasks so I can work with groups of students/individual students
- show respect during a read aloud and at the gathering area.
Other Information:
Students will continue to revisit procedures for EACH situation during EACH activity during today, later in the week, and subsequent days until behaviors are automatic.
