Prep:

Five locations will be mapped in the geocaching.com app.

The teacher will create mathematical clues for each of the five locations.

The teacher will provide geocaching boxes with the following items in each:
Characters- Plastic figures of a frog, shark, rabbit, turtle, and dinosaur
Settings- pictures of a playground, school, library, park, campground
Problem- index cards with the following: lost money, scared of the dark, scared of heights, too much homework, lost library book
Lesson learned- Index cards with the following: Don't judge others, be honest, be trustworthy, be kind, be a good friend

Geocaching app needs to be downloaded on all class iPads

Materials:

Plastic pencil boxes for geocaching boxes loaded with supplies listed in the Prep step above.
iPads with Geocaching app loaded
Clipboards for groups
paper and pencils for groups
