Objective:
Ultimately, students will demonstrate understanding of diverse cultures and backgrounds of their communities/peers in a two-day class lesson by drawing one picture of a specific cultural event.
1. Students will analyze and share different cultural practices through brief partner research
2. Students will participate in large group discussion about their personal celebrations comparing/contrasting their practices
3. Students will demonstrate their understanding by completing a project-based illustration assignment during class time.
Objectives will be assessed by the following:

Rubrics personalized to the project assessment is ready to be put in use. Blank sheets and utensils are ready and prepared beforehand.
