Metacognition: Review of Reading Lessons with students utilizing vocabulary words and pictures to retell the stories demonstrating metacognition, comprehension, and generalization of concepts.
Objective:
1) The students will interact with their teacher to identify previously learned vocabulary words (boy, girl, me, friend, who, is) with boardmaker pictures (pec cards) to demonstrate comprehension of previously learned words.

2) The students will also be introduced to two new vocabulary words: (my, a) as they are assisted with producing simple phrases or sentences that allow the students to generalize their comprehension of learned and new vocabulary words to their own lives.
Prep:
Use "vocabulary words"(boy, girl, me, who, is) utilized in former reading lessons in the format of flash cards with the introduction of two new vocabulary words (a, my). Match vocabulary flash cards to relevent boardmaker pec cards.
