Edgar (2007) discusses how the environment is essential for developing a sustainable society. This concept can be extended to populations of other species (ie. Bears, in this lesson). The conditions of the environment can determine the likelihood of survival and successful reproduction, which can affect both the traits and the dynamics of the population.
Objective:
Students will explore the factors that affect a populations likelihood of survival and reproduction. (C3.2)
Students will then assess how humans may be affect the environments of other populations, and discuss possible remedies and solutions. (C1.2)
