In English II Honors, students will be challenged by concepts and ideas from texts of high complexity. They will develop an advance understanding of literary texts from American, British, and World Literature and will integrate the skills from these studies into reading, writing, speaking, and listening. In addition, they will gain critical thinking and communication skills, which will help them in real-life decision-making and interaction. With this in mind, students will acquire greater knowledge and appreciation not only for the English language but also for Language in general. Lastly, students will learn to be more understanding and empathetic towards other people.

4) Practice reading and identifying the Elements of Literature with a short story by Roald Dahl

2. Homework #1: Read the short story "Contents of the Dead Man's Pocket" by Jack Finney and review over "To Build a Fire" by Jack London. Then answer the questions for these stories. These are posted on Google Classroom.
