Big Goal: Demonstrate an understanding of figurative language, imagery, and central idea.

This week we will be doing a close read of a narrative poem. This will be done to help students analyze what the poem says explicitly as well as draw inferences from the text. Students will determine the poem's central idea and understand the impact figurative language has on the imagery of the poem.
