Linear and Angular Velocity

Grade Level:
11
Subject:
Trigonometry
Topic:
3.4 Linear and Angular Velocity
Objective:
The students should be able to define Linear and Angular Velocity and use it to solve real problems that involve these velocities.
Reflection:
Next time have students work in groups to help in identifying given information in the application problems, and determine what is to be found. With all the different terms used it was difficult recognizing what was identified in the problem. Encourage students to use units as a way to understand problems and to guide the solution of multi-step problems, also choose and interpret units consistently in the formulas
Prep:
Relate the definition of radian Measure and its values with respect to time creating a speed that is either linear or angular velocity. Determine the correct units of measure associated with this measure and convert units of measure as needed.
