Objective:
Students will be able to identify and make connections to the branches of the state government and how the government affects them.

Students will be able to independently complete a haiku/acrostic poem about their endangered animal.
Other Information:
The reading and following direct activity are being done in 3 parts. There are three lessons of information being covered in this chapter. After each lesson, the next day we summarize and review the learning from the previous lesson. This formatively assesses their learning as well as connects them to the knowledge an additional time to help with retention.
** The summative assessment will be on 6/2.

Station 3 is focusing on the vocabulary necessary to access learning with in the chapter. After the vocabulary is done, the poetry they are working on are a part of their big end of year summative writing project.
