The student will be able to locate selected features of Southern and Eastern Asia: Ganges River, Huang He (Yellow River), Indus River, Mekong River, Yangtze (Chang Jiang) River, Bay of Bengal, Indian Ocean, Sea of Japan, South China Sea, Yellow Sea, Gobi Desert , Taklimakan Desert, Himalayan Mountains, and Korean Peninsula.
Students will be able to locate the following countries on a map: China, India, Indonesia, Japan, North Korea, South Korea, and Vietnam.
The students will be able to discuss environmental concerns Southern and Eastern Asia face.
The students will be able to discuss location, climates and natural resources found in each country.
Students will be able to compare and contrast the different cultures found in each of the countries.
The students will be able to compare and contrast Southern and Eastern Asian economies with that of the United States.
