What Are Cookies? Reflection:
Compare and contrast is a simple yet effective method to have students organize their thoughts. The Top Hat method is a clear and easy method to have students practice this skill, and draw information from multiple sources. This information will be compiled into their handout and be incorporated for a written assignment at a later point.
My students in the past have benefited in the past from the top hat organizer and utilizing it as a tool during group activities and tests. This is a method I have repeatedly used for my instruction and students respond to it well.
