Reflection:
- Students started reading "Knots in My Yo-yo String" by Jerry Spinelli. I was absent during this time, and feel that students did not get a good grasp of understanding author's purpose, figurative language, or point of view. Will probably review and revisit this lesson in the following week.
- Spent a few days this week allowing students time to work on their No Red Ink Assignments for Progress Reports. No Red Ink has shown itself to be a great resource in reviewing grammatical elements that the students should know or need to know. I absolutely love the program.
