Objective:
Students will use strategies and algorithms, including the standard algorithm, to multiply up to a four digit number by a one digit number and to multiply a two digit number by a two digit number. Strategies may include mental math, partial products, and the commutative, associate, and distributive properties.
Prep:
Do page 248 together, page 249 problems #1-4 in table group, page 249-250 independently. Homework page 251-252.
Materials:
dry erase markers,dry erase boards.
Extension: Students will get in pairs and alternate creating multiplication problems for both to solve.
