MONDAY MEMO: Now that we have data, how will we utilize it to create action plans for our students?
MONDAY: 3rd Period had to do Duolingo because the Voki website was acting up. Much Louder in 5th, but my troubled ones still worked. Saw some of the best writing in 7th period, and we used my cell phone to call the program and record when the computer would just churn.
TUESDAY: 2ND AND 3rd period were put together, and some of them didn't show up. In 6th, I sat 3 kids facing the wall to do Independent Study, then let them pick their new groups. Two kids picked to stay in Independent Study. Readying for sub tomorrow and new 8th Grade class.
WEDNESDAY: Data retreat. I came early and made extra copies of the Popol Vuh in Spanish and assignment page for Adrian Ramirez and Roberto Miramontes. I put names on every assignment and left work for my new 8th grade class.
WEDNESDAY: DATA RETREAT
THURSDAY: LOTS of discipline problems. Must be because all 6th grade teachers were gone.
FRIDAY: 8TH GRADE class watched video, wrote down vocabulary, logged in successfully to Duolingo, and took a vocabulary quiz at the end of class. Adriana Williams extremely giggly but asked group leader Arvin to quiet her, and he did. In 5th period, Arturo Falcon wouldn't stop making noises and messing around. Gabriel Rodriguez in Advocacy was taken to the office because he said twice : I will shoot someone.
