Reflection:
- This week, students are finishing a partner-project that focused on reading comprehension skills that tied into the topic of 9/11 in honor of the memorial day that we commemorated.
- Students were given an individual assessment over reading comprehension, and overall, did a very good job, but they need to work on their time-management skills, and it would probably benefit them to go over test-taking strategies.
- In the previous week, students started their interactive notebooks where they included their first entry going over several literary devices they will see throughout the school-year. In order to make sure they have a good understanding of these devices, the students are pairing up and creating flashcards where they must define the words, as well as express them using graphics. Some students are enjoying this, while others are struggling but hopefully becoming more familiar with the terminology and understanding of these devices.
