What Are Cookies? John Chapman's birthday will fall on 9/26. This will lesson will also introduce the students to the genre of biography. By the end of year, the students need to be reading and comprehending informational texts, including history/social studies texts. We will be reading several short biographies this year to give them practice.

Reflection:
This lesson was taught the week of 9/16-9/20 and I made several changes after trying it out with the first class. One change I made was to drop the group discussion after the "Pair and Share" for lack of time.
