Life of an African Farmer:
The difficult choices that poverty and conflict can cause.
Objective:
Students will be learn 8 new vocabulary words that are specific to the topic of the African agricultural industry.
Students will be participate in a computer simulation of what life is like for a impoverished farmer in Africa by taking control of a digital farm.
Students will compare and contrast poverty in Africa with poverty in the United States and verbally identify differences and similarities.
Other Information:
There are approximately 10-15 students ranging from 3rd through 4th grade during a summer school session at Aloma D. Johnson Charter School.
