Objective:
This lesson will help students to make inferences when reading poetry. Students will use the strategy "Looks Like, Feels Like" in order to provide details about the speaker in two poems, "The Artilleryman's Vision and Look at This." Students will use the inferences to write a tribute to each solider. To complete the lesson, students will learn about the term "tone." Students will apply this concept to determine the poem that best captures the cruel nature of war.
