What Are Cookies? This is an Eric Carle Author Study unit that the Kindergarten team at A. Montoya wrote a grant for at the beginning of the school year for. (I have recently just joined the Kindergarten team and was not part of the grant writing process.)

This is only the first lesson of this unit. Later students will have many opportunities to respond to text by draawing picture to make text-to-self and text-to-text comparisons. in future lessons the charts will be built upon and severla videos of Carle's process for his art will be viewed and then practiced in class offering hands on and experienctial understanding.
