Introduction: Raising a happy child means more than just providing food and diapers. The primary, or main caregiver are usually the parents. This means that they have the main responsibility for raising the children. Since taking care of children is such a big job, parents often need the help of others. In this chapter you will become familiar with parenting skills such as, meeting children's basic needs, keeping children safe, dealing with emergencies, and choosing child care services.
