What Are Cookies? Snow Themed Committees for Week 2 of January
Objective:
Students will be able to integrate information from the two texts presented to the whole group to determine weather conditions necessary for the existence of snow. Identify the elements of a snowflake.
Students will follow sequential steps and instruction to produce a hole punched and "sewn" mitten, to use pictures of the story book characters for retelling the sequence of events in the story, "The Mitten", by Jan Brett.
Students will count forward using a given number to fill in a calendar for the Month of January, and graphing numbers of items for comparing and contrasting and working with the concept of more than and less than.
