What Are Cookies? Whole group instruction of Stepping Stones lesson, independent student work within Stepping Stones Student Journals, small group work with interactive notebooks,creating fraction strips, reviewing place value, and using QR Codes scanner/reader to self check fraction scavenger hunt.
Objective:
Students will reason abstractly and quantitatively while reviewing fractional concepts; including the naming of fractions and how the same fractional amount can look different.
Other Information:
After working through the Stepping Stones math lesson students will work in small groups of three to four to apply new knowledge and practice recent math skills of place value of four digit numerals, that were taught within Stepping Stones Module 4. Small group work will be carried over to the next time block during RtI and even into the following week as necessary to complete and/or reinforce understanding of concept and continue work within the Stepping Stones Module lessons.
